Just for Girls

Here are the details on our "Just for Girls" camp, and we think this camp is going to be AMAZING!  The "Just for Girls" camp will still have workouts, but we will also incorporating more.

Camp will be from July 10th-August 23 (six weeks) every Tuesday and Thursday for two hours.  Each week we will be focusing on one of the six spheres of wellness/happiness.  They are: physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and environmental.   We really felt that with this camp, we wanted the girls to not only be physically strong but mentally and emotionally strong as well.  Adding the other three areas (social, spiritual, environmental) only made sense.  We feel that by teaching the girls about each of these spheres, we will laying the foundation for overall wellness/happiness.  We also feel that by focusing on these individual spheres, it will help the girls to create a positive body image, positive self image, and a positive self esteem.

The girls will receive journals to take notes during our lessons, and write down their short term and long term fitness goals. The nutritional lessons will be more in depth and we will be doing more variety of physical activities with them.

Camp will be $65 for the first teen girl, and $20 for the additional teen girl (within the same family).  Camp will take place at the clubhouse in the Sendero Townhomes (off Brogan in the Charter Pointe Subdivision).

Remember, camp is for teen girls 13-16 years old and registration is due tomorrow.  Email us for registration paperwork to guarantee a spot for your teen daughter.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us.

Workin' on their Fitness: End of Week #1

The end of week one was a success!  The kids rose to the challenge of the activities, felt the soreness of their efforts, and learned about team work.  There may have been a few complaints about how hard everything was, there may have even been an invitation to a camper's funeral the day after the first day of camp, but overall they did great!

On the first day of camp we had a plank and superman competition.  The kids were awesome!  The plank was a tie between one of older campers and our youngest camper at 2 mins 30 seconds.  Incredible!  Our superman position was held for 1 min 30 second by our oldest girl camper.  Tellin' ya, these kids are rock stars!

Our youngest camper this session is just 5 years-old and she did fantastic!  Her mom told us that after our lesson about "power foods" this fantastic 5 year-old told her she only wanted fruits and veggies for lunch because she wanted to be a "healthy food girl."  Haha.

We are so excited that the kids are taking home the lessons that we are teaching them.  Camp is off to a great start.
